About Us
Ann Arbor Hardwoods is a small family owned and run company. The owners Michael and Nicole Cornaire, play a large role in the company’s day to day operations. Michael, who has been in the flooring industry since 1998 does the Estimating, Sales, Client Communication, Quality Control, and client walkthroughs. While Nicole handles all of the company’s Bookkeeping needs, Scheduling, Contracts, and handles the Human Resource needs of the Company.
Making our business successful is important, but not at the cost of our employees. We properly compensate our skilled workers and help them to enhance their knowledge through the National Wood Flooring Association with skills that can be used industry wide. Our employees make our business successful.
Our Focus for the Future
Ann Arbor Hardwoods is always looking for better ways to serve our customers. One of the best ways to for us to grow our knowledge and understanding is through continuing education. Aside form the experience we gain in the field, continuing our education in an academic setting allows us to stay up to date with changes in our industry. The hardwood flooring industry has been expanding in its technology and product lines quicker than ever before. This is why all of our craftsmen and apprentices are currently undergoing training through the National Hardwood Flooring Association for all aspects of our trade.
Quality is our number one focus, we may not be the most inexpensive or quickest around but we are among the best. We do not have any laborers in our company, we are flooring professionals who are skilled craftsmen or apprentices learning to become craftsmen and masters of our trade.
Experience
Both our estimator and foremen have been in the hardwood flooring industry since 1998. They are friendly and professional, ready to handle any questions or concerns you may have throughout the course of your project. Our frontend staff is knowledgeable in our process and can help with any questions you may have when you are planning to begin your project.
All of our craftsmen have multiple years in the industry and know all facets of their trade.
Ann Arbor Hardwoods has been a proud member of the National Hardwood Flooring Association since 2014, which sets the industry standards for quality and craftsmanship. The NWFA is where we continue our education to stay up to date with current trends, latest products, and techniques in the hardwood flooring industry.

Our goal is to create relationships with our customers that will last a lifetime. We believe in educating our clients on all the options available to them so they can make informed decisions. We are dedicated to ensuring a high standard of quality service. We aim to provide this through adequate training of our employees, never subcontractors. In addition, we will strive to use materials and equipment that are safer for our craftsman, clients, and the environment.
We are Fully Insured
To protect our customers and employees we carry general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. A certificate of insurance can be provided upon request.
No licensing is necessary in the state of Michigan for our trade.
